Quality

The SMOK Nord X 60W Pod System is the third generation Nord set for release in 2020.

It features some fantastic improvements upon the previous renditions. This includes an impressive IP67 rating, higher power output, and increased eliquid capacity. This is the second Nord device to be released this year.

I was a big fan of the original and loved the Nord 2.

Keep reading to find out how the new Nord X performs.

SMOK is a popular vape manufacturer that’s been around since the beginning of vaping.

It was established in 2010 by the parent company Shenzhen IVPS Technology. Over the years SMOK has been actively listened to the vaping community and worked on various innovative tech.

They’ve been dominating the 2020 pod trend with popular releases from their Nord, RPM, and ALIKE lines.

The Pod

The SMOK Nord X is slightly larger and heavier than the Nord 2.

It measures 100mm’s by 31mm’s by 23mm’s and weighs 96 grams. In all honesty, it’s not that noticeable.

Furthermore, the Nord X is still ultra-portable and perfect for on-the-go vaping. Now more so than ever since this new rendition features an IP67 rating. This means it’s waterproof, dustproof, and also shockproof!

The SMOK Nord X is made from good quality zinc-alloy and also features a really nice rubberized trim.

It provides additional grip and feels great in hand. The main chassis boasts a 1500mAh battery and it can output a powerful 60 watts. SMOK has also finally incorporated a USB-C port into the Nord.

It will charge your device in just 75 minutes. Unfortunately, it’s positioned on the bottom and as a result, can easily fall over due to the uneven surface of the rubber plug.

The SMOK Nord X comes with two cartridges and coils. This includes the RPM and RPM2.

I personally preferred the original Nord coils, so it was a shame to see them not incorporated. In saying that the 0.16ohm RPM 2 mesh coil and 0.4ohm RPM mesh coil delivered great flavor.

They also produced a decent amount of vapor for a pod system. Both cartridges can hold 6ml of eliquid and the coils should last you 3 days to a week.

The SMOK Nord X is a DTL pod that boasts heaps of airflow. It’s still not adjustable, but you can always just tape up one of the side slots. The device has no rattle and the cartridge is held tight by strong magnets.

It doesn’t feature a puff reset, flip screen, or wattage lock button combination, but the display screen is much more vivid.

Price

The SMOK Nord X is available to buy right now.

The cheapest vendor you can pick yours up from is Eight Vape. They have them selling for just $37.99 USD. Get in quick though because they’re selling out quick!

I think that’s a more than fair asking price for anything with an IP67 rating. The price is on par with the latest Geekvape products that also have an IP67 rating.

Packaging

The SMOK Nord X is available in a wide variety of colors.

This includes black cobra, white cobra, rainbow cobra, rainbow splatter, fluid blue, fluid purple, fluid red, and also fluid gold. It would be cool to see those stab wood styles from the Nord 2 added to the Nord X color suite.

The packaging design is pretty standard for SMOK. Clean, simple, and to the point.

What’s Included in the Kit?

  • NORD X Mod
  • NORD X RPM 2 Pod
  • NORD X RPM Pod
  • 0.16 Ohm RPM 2 Mesh Coil
  • 0.4ohm RPM Mesh Coil
  • USB Cable
  • User Manual

Summary

Overall, the SMOK Nord X doesn’t disappoint. It may just be the best Nord model released up until this point. With a wide range of new and improved features, as well as a 20W boost over the Nord 2, this model is well worth considering as your next pod vape.
